Sham embarked on his career journey in 1995, starting as a visualizer at a local advertising company. Over time, he climbed the ranks, eventually attaining the position of Senior Art Director. During this period, he managed an impressive roster of clients, including Proton, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Alam Flora, Castrol, Tetra Pak, Malaysia Airlines, Sime Darby, Enrich Malaysia, Buy & Fly.

After some time, he transitioned from advertising to diverse creative roles encompassing graphic design, direct marketing, events, and branding.

In 1999, He co-founded Rentak Asia 2000 to organize Malaysia’s largest music concert in conjunction with the Formula 1 event. This epic concert featured nearly 100 artists from around the world and local talents. Renowned international musicians like Jethro Tull, Big Country, Bobby Campbell from Toto, Sugar Ray, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Wong of Beyond, Grasshopper (HK), Kenny Bee (HK), and Cecelia Chung (HK) graced the event with their performances.

Between 2002 and 2006, he worked as a freelance creative director. He was commissioned to create a brand campaign for Tour de Borneo 2003, and the brand image he developed has been consistently used for various cycling tour events until 2023. During this period, he also managed projects for AAM, Tourism Malaysia, MPAJ, Enrich, Buy & Fly, and more.

In 2007, he joined a small agency as a partner and achieved significant milestones, securing accounts from prominent companies such as Marsh & McLennan, CGC, Bank Negara Malaysia, PUNB, Takaful Malaysia, MTDC, MIFC, Elaf Bank, Penang Port Berhad, SME Corp, and Effecient Berhad.

During his tenure, he successfully revamped the brands of Takaful Malaysia and Penang Port Berhad, which are still in use today. Both companies paid a retainer fee for his services for two years.

In 2013, he joined Leo Burnett as a Senior Designer, where he oversaw the Philip Morris account, which included iconic brands like Marlboro and Semporna. He departed from the company in 2015.

Between 2015 and 2022, he provided creative services to various companies, including Bank Rakyat, Bloomberg, WZR Property, Principal, Lirene Cosmetics, Omnitwo and D’Marina Property.

In 2023, he was appointed as a marketing consultant for Manjaku Holding Sdn Bhd.

His journey is a testament to his creativity, innovation, and unwavering dedication to the world of art, design, and branding.

His ability to bridge the gap between the legal world and the corporate arena has been pivotal in navigating regulatory challenges and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
